Description
While Fethiye Municipality, in cooperation with Yeşilüzümlü Agricultural Development Cooperative, the opening ceremony of the festival, which is held every year in Yeşilüzümlü District, is the scene of colorful scenes, treats prepared with local products appeal to the palate.
While the citizens who come to the festival are greeted with drums, zurna and delbek, dastar, wine and souvenir stands are set up.
In the festival area, “dastar cloth” woven by women on looms, local handicrafts and foods are offered for sale, while some residents of the neighborhood sell morel mushrooms they collect from the forest.
The region, which is among the important tourism centers of the country with 931 square kilometers of Fethiye and 167 coastlines, has an important place in agriculture as well as tourism. The region, which is Fethiye’s gateway to the world with its productions, continues to attract attention especially with its dastar cloth and morel mushroom.
